This review is from: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1333MHz DIMM PC3-10666 Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL (Accessory) I was looking for affordable memory for an Intel DQ67SWB3 motherboard and came across these. They have all the right specs for a mainstream build, including running at 1.5V, which is recommended for the Core i3 and related CPU's. That motherboard and CPU support 1333MHz memory at that voltage, and the latency on these is also good (9), so I went with them. The result is a machine that goes from power off to login prompt in about 18 seconds and loads programs so quickly that I feel like it's been overclocked--but it's not. I ran memtest on this memory overnight to "burn it in" (check for early failures) and it passed, of course, with flying colors. If you're looking for dual-channel DDR3 memory for a machine that supports 1333MHz (PC3-10666) speeds at the spot-on 1.5V recommended by Intel for use with the Core i3/i5/i7 series processors, I can vouch for these as solid, affordable and high-performance choice. Used to be fulfilled by Amazon and was a little more expensive then. Purchased 16GB (4x4GB sticks) and am using it in an i7 PC with Windows 7 & OS X. Have done a lot of video and 3D rendering without a hitch. Tested with MemTest too, just in case. Works like a charm. They have great performance and have an appealing look, not that it matters in terms of performance. Few thing to look out for, make sure your motherboard supports the speed of the RAM sticks(in my case 1333Mhz DDR3)and Pin size, although most motherboards support 240-Pin ram. This shouldn't be a problem for newer motherboards. Another thing to look out for is that only 64-bit Operating Systems(x64) can fully use the 8GB of RAM. 32-bit Operating Systems(x86) can only use up to 3GB I believe.
